The Peterborough Plot

My other half lives in Peterborough in a flat, which you might think precludes any great horticultural activity! But you'd be wrong! The paved 'courtyard' outside the Georgian terrace has actually proved to be a haven for wildflowers which find their way into the cracks and crevices. And obviously it wasn't long before we began our own green-fingered endeavours! Here's a record of our progress so far...

This Pusatilla turned up all of its own accord...and now it's having babies...lots of them!

Further wildflower additions have come in the shape of this Sedum! Like a little ray of sunshine on the grey slabs!

Eventually we decided to help the wildflower action along by planting our own in some spare pots. A couple of little troughs devoted to salad and bigger pots full of cosmos, poppies, cornflowers and sunflowers (to name but a few!) They started off in the two pots above, but then they grew so well we transplanted some of the seedlings, so we now we have the set up below. Bring on the flowers!!
